So, you want to install Jenny Mod. Whether it’s out of curiosity, for the memes, or you just want to see what all the chaos is about — you’re not alone. A lot of people try to install this mod and end up stuck with crashes, broken versions, or shady links. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Let’s walk through the process, step by step, without overcomplicating anything. If you’re on PC (Java Edition) or mobile (Bedrock/MCPE), both versions are covered here.
Installing Jenny Mod on Java Edition (PC)
Step 1 – Make Sure Java 8 Is Installed
You’d be surprised how many people skip this and then wonder why Forge won’t load. Jenny Mod was made for Minecraft 1.12.2, and it plays nicest with Java 8. If you already have it, great. If not, grab it from java.com. Install it normally and restart your computer when you’re done.
Step 2 – Get Forge Set Up
This mod runs through Forge, so you’ll need that installed too. Go to files.minecraftforge.net, select version 1.12.2, and download the installer. Open it, click “Install client,” and let it do its thing.

Don’t open it. Don’t extract it. Just leave it as-is.
Step 5 – Move the Mod File

Step 6 – Launch Minecraft with Forge
Open the Minecraft Launcher again, choose the Forge 1.12.2 profile, and click Play. It might take a little longer to load than usual, especially the first time. Once you’re on the main menu, click “Mods” — if Jenny Mod is listed there, everything went smoothly.
Now start a new Creative world (just to be safe), go into your inventory, and look through the spawn eggs tab. You should see her there.
Installing Jenny Mod on Mobile (Bedrock / MCPE)
Step 1 – Download the Addon
On the same download page, pick the MCPE version. It should give you a file like this:

Step 2 – Open with Minecraft

Step 3 – Wait for the Import
You’ll get a message saying it imported successfully — both the resource pack and behavior pack. If one of them fails, re-download the file and try again. It happens.
Step 4 – Create a World and Enable the Addon
When creating a new world, scroll down to “Resource Packs” and “Behavior Packs.” Find the Jenny Addon and activate both. Then scroll further and make sure Experimental Gameplay is turned on — otherwise, none of it will work.
Start the world, open your inventory, and check the spawn eggs. If Jenny shows up, you’re good to go.
A Few Things That Might Help
– Don’t try to mix this mod with a dozen others unless you’re prepared for crashes.
– OptiFine helps with animations on Java, but it’s not required.
– Mobile players: if Minecraft crashes after import, reboot your phone and try again.
– Always test in Creative first. Just… trust me on that one.
– And finally — don’t run this mod on public servers. It’s not that kind of mod.
